Education & Awareness

This program provides our large print, audio, and electronic newsletter distributed quarterly to over 900 individuals and is full of information on the latest in treatments, research, and resources for the people with visual impairments.

Sight Loss representatives travel all around the Cape and Islands participating in educational programs that will help to spread the word about issues relating to vision loss and how our agency can play a role in helping those who have lost their vision.

We have also created a variety of our own large print and cassette booklets that are designed to instruct clients with visual impairments on a number of topics.

Additionally, we send to doctors, assisted living communities, senior centers, and other service providers’ bulletins and information relative to eye research and treatments, to help them with meeting the needs of their patients and residents.

Our staff is pleased to offer the following in-person educational programs to local Senior Centers, Community Centers, Libraries, Professional Groups and Civic Organizations. A representative of our organization can also attend your meeting virtually by request. Please contact us by phone at (508) 394-3904 or by email at info@sightloss.org.
